Tips for Sissy Self-care & Relaxation:
-Tap into your divine feminine energy and draw strength in the knowledge that you are enough.
-Many times we think it’s our own thoughts who are the worst critics in our own inner voices but so often it’s echoes of other people’s misery manifesting & masquerading in our minds; let it hold no quarter in your divine mind place. You have permission to toss that negativity away like an ill-fitting bra and everything which no longer supports you! Banish thoughts that are not productive, supportive and loving to yourself.
-Remember that sissy self-care isn’t selfish but necessary to function at your best.
-Take time to nurture your physical, emotional, social, spiritual, mental, environmental and recreational self. These are considered the seven pillars of self-care.
-Self-care can be simple and fun. Sometimes going out to get coffee with some friends is all it takes to socially and emotionally feel recharged.
-Sleep in when you need to and if possible let yourself catch a quick nap from time to time.
-Do something creative. It’s about the process, not the finished product. Enjoy creating something with your hands. Paint, doodle, sculpt etc.
-Make time for quietude. Sometimes a little alone time can help one feel less overwhelmed. Even extroverts can benefit from a little solitude wherein they don’t have to feel “on” and can just enjoy their own company even if it’s just for a few minutes.
-Expand your curiosity about the world and check out a book or magazine from the library which you never considered reading before.
Keep playing -we are never too old to be young at heart.
-Laugh as often as possible. Spend time with people who know how to get you giggling.
-Don’t forget to get enough protein to keep your energy up.
-Take a staycation and explore your local environs by doing touristy things nearby. It’s amazing how easy it is to forget how interesting the cities and towns where we live can be.

What wonderful advice Mistress Fiona, not just for a sissy, but for everyone who becomes overwhelmed (don’t we all eventually) by everyday life. Stressors ignite that fuse. Is it my imagination or are fuses “shorter” these days??. It isn’t always possible for some but we try, to follow these helpful tips as best we can.

Thank you for reading, Little Peg I always love your posts on EE! And I have to admit, I wrote these tips for everyone, myself included because I often need these reminders too! You are so right, fuses do seem shorter these days and I’m trying (with varying levels of success), to extend to us all the patience and grace of realizing after the pandemic , we all collectively had been through trauma and maybe tempers flaring is sometimes a result of residual fear. Patience isn’t always my forte though so it’s like a muscle I need to exercise more because I am good at straining and spraining it. lol
