Every week on Sunday night you can join Whore School with Harper for Adult Sex Education. It’s a live hour long podcast about sex ed for grown-ups, with occasional forays into adult life skills and current events. You can stream the live show and participate in the chat at the same time, thus making yourself part of the show! The interactive nature of the format means sometimes we go a little bit afield and the mini-game ‘Distract Ms Harper’ is always a fan favorite. While Whore School started as a sex, sexuality, gender, and gender expression educational show, over the years related topics have crept in and only made the show better.
Adult Life Skills
When I talk about adult life skills, I’m talking about the things grown ass folks need to live full, happy, healthy lives in society. Things like How to Talk About Your Fetish With Your Partner, How to Negotiate a Scene at a Party, and How to Clean A Bathroom. If you want a happy and healthy sex life, there’s stuff you need to know that goes beyond the simple basics of “this is a penis and that’s a vagina and you combine them to get an 18 year commitment.” Over the years I’ve talked about breaking up a relationship with grace, enduring the shock of sudden isolation during the start of the pandemic, and the importance of keeping up to date with your vaccines. I’ve also talked a lot about gender play, with tips for Sissies and other gender non-conforming folks. Mental and emotional regulation skills are vital for all adults to learn and practice, so I’ve made a point of including those, too!

A recent episode of the podcast went over the importance and value of rational thought and checking in with yourself from time to time to ensure you haven’t followed a seemingly obvious thought to a less than healthy conclusion. That’s right, I talked about astrology and cults.
Astrology, Synchronicity, Cults, and Rationality? In My Sex Ed Podcast?!
I’ve made no bones of the fact that I think rationality is the key to overcoming the vast majority of errors of thought that plague people, and in this episode I go hard and deep on this idea. There’s nothing wrong with believing in weird fringe shit, as long as your belief in astrology and synchronicity doesn’t lead you into logical errors of thought that harm yourself or others. Thinking that Mercury Retrograde is a bad thing is fine! Treating people poorly because Mercury seems to be moving backwards in the sky is far less fine.
The podcast starts off with a discussion of astrophysics, and what’s happening when a planet is in retrograde. That’s followed up with an explanation of how eclipses, both lunar and solar, happen, with a shout-out to the upcoming April 8, 2024 total eclipse of the sun! From there, we delved into synchronicity, and how a meaningful coincidence for one person can snowball into mythology, folklore, and thence into spiritual beliefs and even codified religion. Of course, there’s a fine line between a religion and a cult, so we talked about that, and defined a cult as a ‘high control’ group. And then, the important part: I hammered home that everyone is susceptible to the sort of irrational thinking and fear of the unknown and uncertainty about the future that can lead to involvement in high control groups. Everyone is prone to the errors of thought that make us vulnerable to predatory groups seeking to manipulate us! And that’s why it’s an adult life skill to learn to recognize when your thinking is leading you towards a mistake.

I have been listening to Whore School from the beginning, and while there are many fantastic podcasts produced by LDW Mistresses, Whore School is without a doubt my absolute favorite.
Whore School has improved my life in far more ways than I could even begin to describe.
Those of us who were born with a cock hanging between our legs, we have a stereotype reputation of having one-tracked minds, always thinking about sex.
That stereotype is not exactly true, as most of us have hobbies varying from sports to cars to science fiction to whatever. However the point of that stereotype is not without merit—especially since we often integrate sex into those other hobbies, from super models posing on the hood of a car to cheer leaders to scantily clad women leashed to a disgusting giant slug that licks them.
If you listen to Whore School, your mind will expand. Not only will you learn a lot more about sex and kink, but you will learn critical thinking skills and logic skills and how to be a better human being in general and I promise you, your romantic partners will greatly appreciate it.

The few I have joined in live to listen to that were not of a subject that typically interests me were very informative still so I learned something new. That is the strength of your show.
And of course there is always enough fun and joking around a bit by you and us listeners to keep it light hearted even on those serious subjects.
I am sure I would find something of value in this Astrology part of the show. Astrology isn’t something I follow but you would still find a way of piquing my interest.
